So what about this roundabout? Feedback needed.

I am collecting personal opinions and stories of our new roundabout. Your story is important to me and would
like to open the dialogue. I have done a lot of research and need somewhere to share this with everyone. I
have a habit of going on and on . Hopefully this will prevent this. And do not forget to bring your sense of humor.

Aloha Carol! Congratulations and welcome to the Worldwide Web! Glad to see you online.

My feeling on the Harris/Romy/Mufi Crop Circle in the middle of Haloa Drive is that the kids are going to have a fabulous time trying to do donuts around it once they remove all the cones and barricades!

Don't take my word for it, but I'm willing to bet money that this will become sport for those with lowered import cars with loud mufflers. I wouldn't want to be living on those corners once the floodgates are opened.

One thing that cracks me up about this roundabout thing is that a stop sign would cause me to, well, stop. With a roundabout, I don't have to stop! They might wish I'd slow down, but I don't have to if I don't want to.

One other question: Are they planning to keep the stop sign at the Ala Oli corner? If so, WHY??? I thought the point of the roundabout was to eliminate or obviate the need for a stop sign!

It is like the newest amusement park ride. No one has been able to answer my question of,considering inertia and physics, what if you drive thru the roundabout at 30 mph? 40 mph? 50?
And where will this 2000lb plus projectile land? Will it become airborne?
mark my words this is not a case of maybe the worst case scenerio happening ,but when.
Too bad that money was not used elsewhere and the majority got their stop signs.
Some of our politicians have overinflated ego's and been allowed to do what ever they want with OPM(other peoples money)Time for people to remember what america is all about.
This project is so poorly planned that they will proably install 4 stop signs anyway. The only thing is at least the DOT is consistant.
Did you notice that the palm trees on the islands are dying?

I was speaking to someone who was for the roundabout. They hate it and are shocked that it is so messed up That it is not what they understood was going in. they also commented that alot of folks are going down the backroads instead of thru the roundabout.

Has anyone thought about what will happen when it rains to the roundabout? And where are the new bus stops going to be?
So what about the Ewa Beach little league becoming world champions. Makes me proud to be an American.

Hi Carol,

Maybe you should have posted the Ewa Little League item as a new post rather than as a comment on this one? More people would have seen it.

Aloha,

Blaine

You probably should have posted the other piece about the Pro-Roundabout person as a new item, too. More readers that way.

Just go ahead and post new stuff whenever it occurs to you. People will get used to checking back and reading your stuff.

Aloha,

Blaine
